nivel global Su presentaci\u00f3n s\u00fabita e inesperada tiene implicaciones m\u00e9dico legales por lo que su abordaje diagn\u00f3stico en el \u00e1mbito forense es de<br>gran importancia<br><br><strong>Objetivo<\/strong>: Analizar la muerte s\u00fabita y su abordaje diagn\u00f3stico en la Direcci\u00f3n de Medicina Forense de Honduras<br>Metodolog\u00eda Estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo de autopsias por muerte s\u00fabita en poblaci\u00f3n de 10 a 55 a\u00f1os, realizadas en la sede de Tegucigalpa durante un per\u00edodo de cinco a\u00f1os 2015 2019 Los c\u00e1lculos estad\u00edsticos fueron realizados con el programa R <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Resultados<\/strong>: Se analizaron 165 casos de muerte s\u00fabita, 56 fueron de origen no cardiovascular y 44 de origen cardiovascular, 67 varones, con una media de edad de 39 a\u00f1os, DS+\/ 9 75 Las causas m\u00e1s frecuentes de muerte s\u00fabita no cardiovascular fueron digestivas 36 respiratorias 34 eventos cerebrovasculares hemorr\u00e1gicos<br>14 y muerte s\u00fabita en epilepsia 9 Entre las muertes s\u00fabitas cardiovasculares las causas m\u00e1s frecuentes fueron la enfermedad coronaria ateroscler\u00f3tica 67 miocarditis 12 y la muerte arr\u00edtmica con coraz\u00f3n estructuralmente normal 10 Desde el punto de vista toxicol\u00f3gico destaca en ambas la asociaci\u00f3n con el consumo de etanol 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conclusiones<\/strong>: La muerte s\u00fabita de origen no cardiovascular fue la m\u00e1s frecuente, resultado condicionado por las<br>limitantes del estudio El abordaje actual de los casos de muerte s\u00fabita presenta importantes limitaciones por lo que se recomienda fortalecerlo implementando mejoras en la investigaci\u00f3n medicolegal de la escena de la muerte, de los<br>antecedentes familiares y el uso adecuado de los estudios complementarios toxicol\u00f3gicos e histopatol\u00f3gicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons
