El m\u00e9todo utilizado para cometer suicidio depende principalmente de la disponibilidad f\u00edsica y de la aceptabilidad sociocultural; siendo los m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s utilizados la ahorcadura, las intoxicaciones, las heridas por arma de fuego. Las heridas auto infligidas por arma blanca son eventos poco comunes en el campo m\u00e9dico legal y revisten de importancia por la posibilidad de confusi\u00f3n con el homicidio. En esta revisi\u00f3n caracterizaremos el suicidio producido por arma blanca, centr\u00e1ndonos en las variables pr\u00e1cticas que son observables en el cuerpo y en la escena de la muerte, lo que
